Senior Strategy Manager

Support our engagement with community leaders and advance our rural connectivity strategy Join our team Working directly we local community leaders and government officials, our team develops strategies to advance TELUS’ connectivity plans across western Canada including rural, remote and indigenous connectivity.

Our focus is to maximize connectivity and economics for rural communities including fully leveraging infrastructure builds that will also advance key growth portfolios for TELUS including TELUS Agriculture, 5G, Security, and Health.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together As part of our Customer Service Excellence team, you will be responsible for leading TELUS’ engagement with municipal leaders with respect to our expansion and deployment of connectivity projects across BC and Alberta, enabling our capital build program directly.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will create a local community engagement center of excellence, through which you will guide community network investment decisions, support community issues and opportunities across TELUS, and support long term and meaningful relationships with community leaders.

You will lead TELUS cross functional efforts in maximizing our network investment, specifically in rural, remote and indigenous communities, to drive value added benefits leveraging TELUS’ full suite of growth portfolios to ensure generational benefits for local communities and for TELUS.

Here’s how Collaborate with senior leaders from across TELUS to identify opportunities to drive value added benefits through TELUS’ network investments.

Coordinate and Drive our long term engagement and relationship strategy with our local communities across BC and Alberta.

Lead the creation of a center of excellence across all TELUS touchpoints with local governments to approach external stakeholders as one voice.

Lead the development and coordination of presentations, information, and other materials to be shared with internal and external stakeholders.

Support the rural connectivity program responsible for exploring and analyzing new opportunities and requests to expand our broadband footprint into regions across Western Canada, while ensuring strong ROI and economics for TELUS.

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle The ideal candidate would be a dedicated, ambitious business professional with over 5 years of experience with a focus on work spanning the public and private sectors.

Working knowledge of the telecommunications industry would be a strong asset.

Government relations experience (municipal, Indigenous, federal, provincial) interacting with senior government officials on large, complex, politically sensitive files.

Strong leader with proven financial analysis, project management, strategic planning, communication, program and service delivery evaluation, and performance management skills.

Extensive experience providing executive advice and support to TELUS executive.

Passionate team player with reputation for building strategic, effective working relationships with stakeholders.

Proven communicator with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and storylines through various mediums, especially Google Slides & Docs in the language of many different audiences.

Great-to-haves University degree in Business, Communications, Public Policy, or Engineering MBA certification A bit about us Our business is connecting Canadians.
