Senior Project Manager – Marketing & Communications

Lead & manage large, complex marketing projects to keep them, and us, organized, on schedule and on budget.

We are looking for a highly organized, process-oriented professional to play a lead role in delivering optimized and seamless experiences, for our customers and internal teams. These goals extend to all phases of complex, multifaceted learning and culture communications projects, targeting key stakeholder groups: executives, people leaders, individual contributors.

 This is a 2 to 6-month contract with the potential to evolve into a full-time opportunity.


Job Description

Working with our internal production and account teams, you will help bring our clients’ large-scale employee-facing programs to life.  Your contributions will ensure seamless development and delivery of creative materials and impactful communications materials in multiple formats: Web, video, presentation, interactive learning, PDF, Posters, Digital ads, etc


Your efforts will include:

  • Full project life cycle ownership for complex, omni-channel programs which can include Video, Digital/Web, Internal/External Communication & Learning projects, Paid Media etc.
  • Keeping team members focused on project goals, their functional responsibilities and project milestones by acting as the main point of contact for project status. This includes coordinating with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to provide both on-site and remote leadership for all aspects of project engagement – from planning, stakeholder communications, scope documentation, resourcing, scheduling, budget tracking, financial controls, change order management, quality control and risk management.
  • As a Senior member of the team, you will provide additional support and mentorship, as appropriate, for other project managers on the team, while filling a leadership vacancy
  • Work with and provide support to optimize Nexus’ project management system, Function Point and related policies & processes
  • Participate and/or lead in production meetings, quick scrums, internal and client-facing calls
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive, formal scheduled (day/week/month and/or quarter) status reporting, as required.



  • YOU ARE a creative problem solver, influencer and change manager, with excellent communications skills, a positive attitude and the ability to inspire. These attributes will enable you to negotiate and influence key participants at various levels and in various geographies, while influencing positive change through awareness, understanding, acceptance and engagement with key project milestones.
  • YOU ARE able to demonstrate leadership and project/program management experience by providing examples of successful completion of multiple cross-functional, cross-business, and cross-cultural projects.

Your capabilities include:

  • Professional, clear, confident verbal & written communication abilities;
  • Ability to work independently and/or effectively with diverse, cross organizational teams;
  • You are highly adaptable and comfortable interacting with all levels of client and internal organizations;
  • You have an innate ability to influence, negotiate and work with people wherever they may be.



  • Minimum 7 years relevant Project Management experience in marketing and/or communications – client or agency side
  • Experience in omni-channel communications (interactive, video, traditional, paid media)
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS-Project
  • MS Office – Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, internal/corporate communications and B2B are strong assets
  • PMP certification is an asset
