To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description Canadian Commercial Banking and Wealth Management provides high-touch, relationship-oriented commercial and private banking, as well as wealth management services to meet the needs of middle-market companies, entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and families, along with institutional clients across Canada.

At CIBC Private Wealth, our focus is on servicing the investment, banking and wealth advisory needs of high-net-worth clients, endowments, foundations and other non-profit organizations.

Private Wealth includes Wood Gundy, CIBC Private Investment Council, Private Banking, CIBC Trust, Wealth Planning Group and Wealth Solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Executive Director, Practice Management, the Senior Consultant, is responsible for contributing to the development of the strategic direction of practice management solutions for CIBC Private Wealth through close collaboration with the PW Business Intelligence Team and the Senior Consultant, Best Practice.

The Senior Consultant will work closely with the Practice Management Consultants (PMCs) for Wood Gundy, Private Banking, Wealth Planning and CIBC Private Investment Counsel to understand their roles in the field and the impact they can make through their engagement with advisors and planners.

The Senior Consultant will develop an expertise in the data analytic tool, PriceMetrix (focused on full-service brokerage), to support the Practice Management Consultants (PMCs), Investment Advisors and Branch Managers.

The role will develop a close alliance with the PW Business Intelligence team to help provide insights on the quantitative and qualitative impact of practice management engagements in the field in all lines of business in PW.

The consultant will work with our strategic internal partners (Wealth Solutions, CIBC Asset Management, Fee Based Solutions) to understand their strategic direction to help the PM team align their efforts.

In addition, the Senior Consultant will work with PW business analysis tools (such as PriceMetrix) to determine areas of focus and impact for practice management.

The role will be a deep expert on our business analysis tools.

How You’ll Succeed Strategy & Analysis
– Work with Executive Director and Senior Consultant, Best Practice to provide insight from business intelligence tools that will provide direction on development of best practice, case studies, business process and efficiency to increase PMC impact in the field.

Work with Business Intelligence team to translate analysis from tools such as Price Metrix into actionable goals.

Work closely with the Senior Consultant, Best Practice to turn analysis insights that can contribute into creation of best practice, case studies, tools and workshops.

Develop a deep understanding of the tools that support an efficient practice.

Examples include CRM tools, data analytic tools, planning tools.

Liaise with PriceMetrix to ensure questions, concerns and changes are addressed and communicated well between Wood Gundy and PriceMetrix.

Collaboration
– Work collaboratively with the Regional Directors and Branch Managers to develop and implement best in class practice management solutions as it relates to Price Metrix.

Help the PMCs in the field to identify opportunities of focus in their respective regions to impact practice management results.

Develop understanding of strategic partner’s goals such as Wealth Solutions, Fee-based team, CIBC Asset Management to align with practice management strategy.

Who You Are You have knowledge in.

Highly developed knowledge of the wealth management business, with 8 to 10 years of experience in the industry.

Well-developed knowledge of practice management solutions at a tactical level as it relates to the private wealth business.

Strong knowledge of a holistic wealth offering for our high-net-worth clients.

Possesses the ability to identify business opportunities and implement successful strategies as it relates to creating processes to create efficiencies for the business units in Private Wealth.

Possesses the ability to identify business opportunities and implement successful strategies as it relates to creating processes to create efficiencies for Wood Gundy.

Requires awareness of business issues, processes, and outcomes as they impact Private Wealth and our clients.

Superior communication and presentation skills.

Applying strong analytical/conceptual skills and knowledge in creative ways to solve general or ambiguous business issues/challenges/problems.

Experience with PriceMetrix is desirable but not essential.
