Sales Director, Appriss Retail


This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted October 1, 2021.

As a member of the GTM team, the Sales Director is part of the sales team and is primarily responsible for the growth of ARR within Appriss Retail via both new customer acquisition and customer expansion.

The Sales Executive must have strong experience selling enterprise class SaaS software as well as real time decisions solutions.

They must possess the ability to prospect to new leads in addition to cultivating existing relationships to expand the Appriss Retail footprint.

They need to have strong business acumen, executive presence, and negotiation skills.

They need to be able to understand business challenges and identify and present the value derived from the Appriss Retail products to address customer’s challenges and concerns.

They need to understand the portfolio of Appriss Retail products to be able to bring the best solutions to their prospects and customers, working with CS Consultants as necessary to demo the solution.

The Sales Director must be motivated to work in a fast pace, every changing environment to deliver results to the business.Responsibilities Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities working with lead generation to identify potential campaigns.

Ability to identify, nurture and develop leads separate from the lead generation team as necessary.

Ability to develop business cases utilizing customer data to deliver value-based presentations during the sales cycle.

Strong understanding of the Retail Industry to be able to identify customer challenges and how Appriss Retail can address those concerns.

Provide feedback to the Product Strategy team on industry trends and feedback from prospects.

Build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, working closely with the Customer Success Manager to maintain the on-going post sales relationship.

Administrative discipline to keep CRM and other tools up to date with proper information.

Attend trade shows, user groups, and other industry events to further their knowledge and to network with prospects and customers.

Build and maintain professional networks.Skills & Requirements Experience executing a standard sales methodology.

Ability to develop and present to executive management and board.

Successful track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
