Like you, we care about making a positive environmental impact.Our team is currently in search for a new Operations Manager – someone eager to make an impact, drive results and be part of a small team with a true family feel.That’s where you come in:As our new Operations Manager, your primary goal is to ensure the logistical coordination of our trucking team and our fields team. You’ll also work alongside the Sales Manager/General Managers on the growth of our business while managing a group of staff.Your role will entail monitoring regular production, troubleshooting for inconsistencies in schedules, and ensuring your teams have the correct supplies and labour required to complete their tasks. You’ll also be responsible for revising schedules and generating adjusted timelines as needed. Your excellent technical ability complements your common sense and good judgment, allowing you to make solid decisions that help the company achieve its  goals.Practically speaking, your duties will include:* Continuous improvement of processes, systems, and procedures in areas such as production, quality assurance, and work flow* Recruiting, managing, and retaining full and part-time staff** Coaching, mentoring, and supervising various teams** Ensuring staff are appropriately trained to perform their duties in a way that minimizes health and safety risks** Coordinating itineraries, ensuring staff have the correct equipment and labour to complete their tasks** Managing and resolving customer service issues as needed** Determining work procedures and preparing daily work schedules** Examining work completed by crews to ensure that services are provided in accordance with the high standards set by the company** Supporting Field Crews and working alongside field crews from time to time.** Not afraid to have direct conversations when required and be firm but fair.If you have superb leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit, work ethic, and are ready to take on a challenging role that will define your career, this could be the job for you.Working @ Waste Reduction Group:We’re a tight-knit group who care about our work, our clients, and the impact we make on them.We encourage you to express your interests and your ideas, and we love providing opportunities to help you advance your professional growth. We take pride in being a company where you can build a career long-term.The Details:This is a full-time, permanent position working out of our Toronto office, just a few minutes’ walk from Davisville subway station. Generally based out of the office but you will be required to work in the field from time to time.  Your typical work day is Monday to Friday but occasional early and evening shifts may be required with local travel.Salary will be between $45,000-$55,000 per year and plus benefits on the successful completion of probation.  Qualifications:* 2+ years’ experience in an operations or logistics role in any industry* Experience leading, supervising or managing a team of full-time and/or part-time staff* Experience with job scheduling* Experience in a customer/client facing role* Experience with MS Office, including Excel formulas, Word formatting and Outlook* Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with access to a personal vehicle* Experience using various technical applications such as such MS Teams or WhatsApp for team communication* An asset if you have experience driving a straight truck 20-26’.How to Apply:Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
