Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) IMIT Project Manager, Buildings | General Contractor Posted 4 days ago General Contractor Leading general contractor focused on ICI and Healthcare buildings projects across Canada Large general contractor is seeking experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) IMIT Project Manager to direct major Design Build ICI / Healthcare projects ($150m).
You’re an M&E IMIT Project Manager with 5-10 years of experience who will develop and execute project plans and schedules, ensure the highest safety and quality standards.
You have a proven track record for meetings budgets, schedules and scope.
If you are interested in leading construction projects and mentoring a team of professionals, join this exciting team in Vancouver BC and Toronto ON Responsibilities: Establish, manage and monitor progress of the overall project plan, schedule, and budget and ensure appropriate communication regarding project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables is provided to sponsors, stakeholders, and project team.
Organize the project team; assign individuals to specific roles and responsibilities to successfully complete deliverables provide day-to-day project leadership and ensure an effective issue and risk management process is created and managed for the resolution and escalation of issues.
Collect and analyze gathered data to determine business problems and opportunities and work with stakeholders, consultants and subject matter experts to identify technology solutions.
Project manage the implementation of structured cabling and base building TCP/IP converged networks to ensure connectivity of building systems including but not limited to: Building Automation, Digital Lighting, Feature Lighting and Signage, Access Control, Security System Power Metering, Audio/Video and Elevators.
Project manage the integration of building systems over open protocols (BACNET, MODBUS, HTML5) including but not limited to: Building Automation, Digital Lighting, Feature Lighting and Signage, Access Control, Security Cameras, RTLS, Sound Masking, A/V, Power Metering and Elevator systems Manage projects across the entire project lifecycle including requirements analysis, product specifications, project planning, purchase decisions, implementation, integration, quality assurance, training and deployment.
Education & Experience: Have 5-10 years of relevant work experience Detailed knowledge of data networking and enterprise IT environments Understanding of protocols and languages used by building and IT systems (SOAP, REST, HTML5, BACNET, MODBUS) Knowledge of database and storage architecture CCNA or CCDA Certification is an asset Microsoft Certifications in System Administration or Development an asset RCDD Certification is an asset Unique career opportunity within a progressive environment with continuous learning and opportunity for growth, as well as a competitive compensation package.
