– REGIONAL Employment Type: Temporary Employment Term: Full Time Posting Date: March 25, 2021 Closing Date: March 25, 2022 17:00 Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days 37.50 hours per 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.50 hours Rate of Pay: Salary and benefits as per terms and conditions of employment Job Description The Manager, Staff Scheduling, under the general direction of the Director, Staff Services, is accountable for ensuring accurate, efficient and timely administration of Sunrise Health Region computerized scheduling service by developing, implementing, evaluating, auditing and controlling all scheduling processes for the Sunrise Regional Health Authority.

The Manager, Staff Scheduling will make recommendations on scheduling solutions that minimize risk, taking into consideration the four (4) dimensions of quality: high risk; high volume; high cost; and problem prone.

The incumbent will also provide advice and be actively involved in matters pertaining to Employee Benefits.

Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Completion of a post secondary diploma in a business or supervisory course at a recognized commercial college Experience Previous experience in health care or unionized field.

A minimum of three (3) years experience in scheduling in a collective bargaining agreement environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Excellent leadership, mentoring, organizational, and communication skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work well under pressure Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, consultative manner Must possess a current driver’s licence and/or have access to travel on short notice Must be proficient in all computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation applications Knowledge of current scheduling and collective bargaining agreement practices An understanding and commitment to the vision, mission and values of the region Additional Information Successful candidates will be required to provide: Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (less than 6 months old) Certificate/Diploma/Degree as required for position Any applicable licenses/registrations relating to the role Expected Start Date: April 5, 2021 Expected Up To Date: December 31, 2021 FTE®: 1.00 This posting will remain Open until Filled.
