To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be a key part of an innovative, “first to market” technology culture, contributing to CIBC’s Enterprise Security Technology team.

As an Advisory Application Developer, you’ll lead delivery of projects in the technical design, development, integration and deployment of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.

You’ll build flexible, and scalable solutions for Information Security that enhance Cyber Security experience and change the way that they fight threat and protect the bank.

How You’ll Succeed Design & Develop : Act as a SME in the Information Security space and work on the analysis and documentation of business requirements, estimations for assigned work packages and coordination for end-to-end implementation of solutions.

Lead the design and installation/configuration/deployment of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications Programming Ability: Programming in this role is typically limited to scripting in Linux/Unix shell, Python, and typical implementations are API integrations.

More advanced development is possible as we increase our capabilities in vendor product customisations.

SDLC experience is an asset and can be in any language including Java and C#.

Lead & Influence : Lead solution review sessions and ensure overall quality aligns with business and project requirements.

Monitor production and user acceptance testing support to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies.

Who You Are You can demonstrate 3-5 years of hands-on experience and knowledge in information security solutions and technologies as well as a pulse on innovative technology; Technical experience with: Linux/Unix OS and shell scripting, software development, automation, systems integration, authentication and API implementations.

You have experience with one or more of : Security Log management, UEBA, SIEM, SOAR and Vulnerability Management tools and applications.

You have strong knowledge of cybersecurity domain, application delivery life cycle via Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban and experience with code/application promotion lifecycle.

It’s an advantage if you have solid grasp of networking concepts including routing, firewall rules and subnetting.
