– Inside/Outside Sales Building Envelope GTA & SW Ontario Base Commission Car Benefits & RRSP My client is an established manufacturer in the building envelope category of the industry and they are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative to inherit an established territory primarily in the GTA and into SW Ontario.

This business has a long and impressive track record of providing their niche building envelope products to the market, predominantly for commercial and industrial application.

A self-motivated Technical Sales Representative with previous, demonstrable success of promoting or providing support of exterior building products to customers is immediately sought for the position.

An individual who has previously worked in Outside Sales, Technical Sales, Inside Sales Support or even a technically-focused Customer Service role, and who is now looking to move into a Technical Sales Role for a bespoke product within the category would be an ideal fit for this position.

Responsibilities of the role include but is not limited to; Connect with architects, spec writers, industry consultants, contractors and owners to promote and educate clients on the overall product offering and demonstrate the bespoke manufacturing capability of the business.

Identify new targets clients and build an ongoing pipeline of projects and sales opportunities.

This is a commissioned role and they need someone who is driven to hunt for new business (and financial reward) on top of a solid base salary which is provided.

Cultivate relationships with existing clients to service and increase revenue.

Attend network and industry events, trade shows and seminars (virtual and in-person when appropriate) to increase industry awareness, keep abreast of market trends, and identify and develop new clients.

Participate in weekly sales and production meetings conducted via Head Office.

Ensure appropriate customer service levels are being maintained with accounts.

Manage customer inquiries and provide prompt follow-up and quotations as required.

Respond to technical inquiries and proactively follow-up on sales leads, ongoing opportunities and quotes.

Liaise with clients both pre-and-post sale to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.

Qualifications Successful track record of technical support, sales, inside sales, customer service with a building materials product.

Understand the sales cycle relevant to commercial and industrial specification.

Ability to interpret architectural drawings is desired.

Basic knowledge of building code in Ontario is desired.

Put together basic quotations as required.

Ability to travel across SW Ontario, staying overnight as need dictates (limited).
