Job Description

Do you have Customer Service experience and looking to transfer into a sales role? If you answered yes, then this opportunity is for you.

We are looking for a motivated, coachable, self-starter to fill a new role in our company as an inside sales rep.

Founded in 1986, Allseas Fisheries has grown from a small local seafood wholesaler, to one of the largest seafood distribution companies in Canada. Allseas is fully committed to serving you with the highest quality fresh and frozen seafood available. Through our global network of suppliers, we source the finest seafood from all corners of the world!

Your Role:

Actively pursue new accounts and develop new business. You will be given a baseline number of house accounts to service while you build your clientele. Ensure that customer product demands are met, drive new sales & promote value added offerings, and ensure customers are satisfied with the highest level of customer service.

Job Description:

· Identify potential customers and develop a prospect pipeline through targeted email messages, online directories, cold calling, social media, personal network and more.

· Close prospective leads into sales to meet / exceed monthly sales and margins targets.

· Develop relationships with existing customers, buyers, decision makers to keep them up to date with our list of products and value added services.

· Pro-actively contacting established customers to retrieve repeat orders, new orders or increase the volume of current orders.

· Understand current customer purchasing needs and buying motives to promote additional sales.

· Work with management to submit monthly sales reports and price quotations.

· Provide customers with industry trends, seasonal catches and merchandising opportunities.

· Work closely with company buyers, distribution managers and accounts receivable personnel.

Requirements:

· Post-Secondary Education in Business Admin, Sales, Marketing is preferred.

· Secondary School or GED required.

· 3+ years in a customer service role is considered an asset.

· 2+ years in a sales capacity required.

· Seafood Industry experience in any capacity is considered an asset.

· Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.

· Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Additional Info:

· Day Shift 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday

– Friday

· May require travel and on-site visits occasionally.

· Opportunity to grow into Outside Sales Rep role.
