Director of Business Development – NLP Platform

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 23, 2017.

 
Our client has developed a NLP platform for data aggregation, extraction and concision. Using proprietary algorithms they can extract important information in seconds that would otherwise take hours to compile. Firms like Thomson Reuters and PWC use their platform to save hours doing mechanical and mundane tasks involving documents.

Developed and brought to market SaaS, primarily targeted at students to help with studying and note taking. They have ~1000 users in 66 countries speaking 33 different languages!

About the role:

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing new business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • You will be responsible for hunting for new business and growing existing accounts
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Develop and manage key customer relationships
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Conduct market research on clients and competitors

About you:

  • Successful experience selling B2B software products and services to insurance, financial institutions and/or government
    • Next best is general enterprise sales experience
  • Successful experience building and executing a go-to-market strategy
  • Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
  • Proven ability to consistently meet sales quotas
  • Successful experience in generating upsells, cross sells, renewals
  • Successful experience closing $M deals
  • 5+ years of software sales experience
