POSITION OPEN: Business Analyst


Premium Retail Services is looking for Business Analysts that are passionate and driven individuals with a keen eye for uncovering key insights from an endless pool of data and have a desire to help others transform their homes, business and lives with technology.

The analyst team is an integral part of our client

– the global leader in consumer electronics, home appliances, wearables, tablets and mobile devices. The analyst team is responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating our client’s data and presenting their findings to our field retail team, corporate executives, and our customers.


  • Leveraging existing systems and field data, provide regular analytics on the state of the business
  • Supports management and client by providing in-depth data analysis of strengths/weaknesses in current execution of retail strategies.
  • Comprehensive and clear understanding of retail environments and consumer insights to utilize when recommending effective in-market strategies.
  • Provides analysis of environmental and competitive activity and recommends aggressive strategy tactics to stay viable and grow in the category space.
  • Serves as a point of influence for the client and effectively communicates performance measurements and impact of initiatives.
  • Presents data to clients and all levels of management and gains buy-in based on credibility of analytics.
  • Manages intelligence requests that come from a variety of sources, at varying times, with varying beginning and end dates.
  • Leverages deliverables from management, information from trade publications and industry sites and synthesizes into actionable recommendations/information for management and/or clients.
  • Statistical analysis of results to identify impact with verification through use of internal and external sources.
  • Leverages analytics to develop solid Key Performance Indicator (KPI) strategies for field execution and/or account management.
  • Maneuvers market intelligence from multiple sources and transforms it into critical market and consumer insights.
  • Leverages data available, identify opportunities and potential and likely outcomes from putting recommendations into action.
  • Compiles data into professional reports that support both findings and recommendations quantitatively and qualitatively. Clearly articulates compelling business insights and actions with data and context.
  • Utilization of various manual processes or systems that create and deploy surveys and/or questionnaires in gathering viable data and/or market intelligence.
  • Articulates and communicates comprehensive understanding of how change and effect affects the client, client competitors, and the industry.
  • Communicates via assigned methods (verbal, written, formal presentation) to management and client all assigned reports on position activities by assigned due dates.


  • Uses rigid ethical considerations to guide decisions and act in accordance with Company values.
  • Exceptional skills in creative problem solving, study and reporting design, time management, self-confidence, data mining, analysis, accountability, practicality, client relations, communication, and presentation.
  • Proven expert at linking data collected with overall channel strategy delivering sound recommendations
  • Must have strong point of view on the proper application of data-driven analysis to business scenarios, and be able to select appropriate methodologies.
  • Experience in retail operations, retail distribution, shopper insights, merchandising, sales, shopper marketing and service organizations preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong presentation skills exhibited with small or medium-sized groups
  • Proven knowledge of the ‘ebb and flow’ of retail statistics and enhancing brand performance through analysis
  • Evidence of forming synergies and maintenance of smooth, effective internal and external working relationships
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (SAS) and data mining software (SPSS) a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient in computer software and internet browsing technologies, e.g., Google Chrome, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Hangout, etc.
