They are integrating their system into solar panels to significantly increase solar power output for residential systems. Now, they are looking for you, their new Senior Power Electronics Engineer. What you’ll be doing As the Senior Power Electronics Engineer your primary goal will be the design, verification, and validation of microinverters that optimize and restructure solar panel systems to the world’s largest and fast-growing clean tech platforms Practically speaking, you will: * Carry out full microinverter design cycle which spans circuit design and verification.* Innovative transistor-level design of analog and mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative smart power management functions for renewable energy source applications.* Design and modification of electronic analog hardware, systems, and PCBs.* Verify PCB layouts to ensure compliance with job requirements, safety standards, and EMI standards.* Work with product design lead and circuit design team on defining microinverter requirements, DFM and reliability checks.* Prototype proof-of-concepts including hands-on testing. Development will include extensive hands-on testing with boards developed either in-house or by partners/customers, using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer and another test equipment.  This is an exciting, challenging, and extremely rewarding opportunity for a motivated, experienced, and driven power electronics engineer looking to make a meaningful impact at a growing company and be part of building something completely new to the market. If you’re intrigued, then we want to meet you. The Details This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive annual salary. Their office is based in Vancouver. Relocation assistance is available if you are currently living outside of the Vancouver area. What you’ll bring  * 5+ years of work (industry) experience in architectural design and schematics and layout of microinverter in solar PV systems or power electronics and electrical system.* 3+ years of design experience using one of the analog/power HF circuits and control circuits simulation tools.* High-frequency (>=1MHz) multi-phase switching converters, unfolding circuits, cycloconverters, theoretical and practical limitations of HF transformer* 3+ years of industrial hands-on experience in testing and verifying switching converters including grid-tied microinverters.* Bachelor’s degree in a power electronic engineering discipline Your Application We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
