With pan-Canadian activities and a presence in the U.S., the Group is an important player in numerous market segments.This role sits within Laurentian Bank, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank Financial Group.The Senior Risk Analyst will assist in the implementation and maintenance of the IT Risk Management and Governance framework, which also includes oversight and challenge of the management of Information Security, Cybersecurity and Technology risks across Laurentian Bank.

The incumbent will consult with management on the efficiency and effectiveness of controls to identify gaps and recommend enhancements to reduce the Bank””””s risk exposure to an acceptable level within its risk appetite.

He/she is also required to keep up-to-date with current legislation, policies, programs, procedures and market trends and advise management on risk related concerns.ResponsibilitiesMaintain the IT Risk Management Framework, including the IT Risk Universe and Key Risk IndicatorsAssist in the development, update and maintenance of the Process Risk & Control Assessments (PRCAs) and related activitiesProvide Risk Advisory servicesReview the design and operating effectiveness of Information Security, Cybersecurity and Technology controls; and provide recommendations on how to efficiently minimize identified risk exposuresOversee Information Security, Cybersecurity and Technology risk management activities across LBCFGFacilitate or execute risk assessments for significant initiatives and vendors, and high-risk information assets and systems Produce input and analytics for centralized risk reporting and management decision making
– on a regular/ad-hoc basis.

Ensure successful execution of project deliverables within scope and schedule.Regularly develop and produce security metrics, status reports and presentations for various audiences.Define/implement KPI””””s based on the services and security controls implementedQualificationsUniversity degree in an appropriate field or College diploma (DEC) in computer scienceUp to 8 years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Technology and Digital Risk Management Certificate in information security or IT risk management (CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO27001 and/or other), an assetIn-depth knowledge of IT risk and IT security management concepts, practices and methodsStrong analytical skills, including risk analysis, data analysis, and comparative analysisPractical knowledge of key concepts: probability, impact, inherent risk, security control, residual risk, compensating controlAbility to work in ambiguity, must be flexible to deal with changes in a fast paced and new environment, working closely with peers where subject matter expertise is requiredPractices and methods: NIST 800-53, OSFI, ISO27001Excellent communication skills (oral and written) including presentation skills and demonstrated ability to present at all organizational levelsResults oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlinesAdditional InformationWe are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible work environment that reflects the diversity of our customers and our communities.
