Registered Early Childhood Educator


This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted February 22, 2021.

Employer: Lullaboo Nursery and Childcare Centre Position: Registered Early Childhood Educator Duration/Type: Permanent/Full Time Location: 1450 Queen Street West, Brampton, ON, L6X 0B2 Offered Salary: $20.00 per hour; The gross salary paid is subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions such as EI and CPP.

Other Benefits: Optional group insurance, medical benefits including dental and vision care Vacation: 4% of the gross salary Hours of Work: 35.0-40.0 hours a week; Overtime applicable at the rate of 1.5 after 44 hours of work per week Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities Develop and implement child-care programs for the organization to support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of the children Provide a quality caring and supportive childcare program and address unique child care needs, meeting all regulatory standards required by federal, provincial and municipal governments.

Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the children Plan, carry out, and assess developmental activities that support & promote the physical, mental, emotional and social development of children Plan environments and experiences that support intellectual, physical, social and emotional development and learning through play, exploration and inquiry Provide a daily balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, and individual/group activities Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children Observe the behaviour of the children and discuss their abilities, interests & needs with their parents and other staff members Assist children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions & comments that extend dialogues Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits How to apply: By emailing to Completion of a college program in early childhood education required Membership and Licensing by a provincial or territorial association for early childhood educators (ECE) is required First aid and CPR certificate required Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered early childhood educator (R.E.C.E.) required
