Proposal Specialist

Working as a Proposal Specialist means you’re a valued member of our Proposal Development and Sales Support team.

We’ll look to you and your strategic, well-thought-out and researched responses to proposal documents to generate wins, increase sales and maximize company revenue.

Key areas of concentration include request for tender (RFT), request for proposal (RFP), request for information (RFI), and request for quotation (RFQ).

What you’ll do: Fully research the customer to understand their environment, politics, limitations, hot points, and other factors that will translate to a response that wins Assemble stakeholders (proposal project team) to identify roles, responsibilities and timelines with project team, discern strategies and win themes and incorporate into capture plan Assist in the development of a pricing strategy, as applicable, and account for applicable costs to maximize profit Lead post-submission exercises such as presentations, clarifications, ‘best and final offers’ and protests, where applicable What you need to succeed: Must-have: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 3 years experience in full lifecycle proposal development, working specifically with public sector and/or Federal government bids Nice-to-have: General IT product, contract, and customer knowledge Familiarity with proposal assembly software Professional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or PMI (Project Management Institute) Who we are: CDW is a leading technology solutions provider to business, government, education and healthcare organizations in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
