Marketing Representative

We are looking to fill the position of Marketing Representative as a member of our Strategic Market Solutions team. This position reports to the Director, Strategic Market Solutions.
The Marketing Representative champions the GSC brand and values by supporting the Strategic Market Solutions Team, working on projects directed at achieving the company’s strategic plan, and executing marketing and communications campaigns. This role requires the proven ability to be creative, and to operate in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

· Assist the director and support the team in executing external and internal marketing plans and activities.
· Work with the graphic designer to produce of a wide range of marketing collateral by formatting (design and layout) content and graphics, and arranging printing or online packages.
· Use software

– like PowToon and Captivate – to create promotional videos and interactive demo videos.
· Prepare “on brand” written copy for websites, newsletters, social media and other collateral.
· Assist in the management of the company’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn) and work with the Social Media Specialist to coordinate all company posts.
· Update the company’s websites and Intranet via CMS tool.
· Coordinate the distribution of all promotional and informational emails via software tool.
· Order, distribute and manage national inventory of sales promotional items.
· Manage inquiries – internal and external – via department mailboxes.
· Support other GSC teams and sales by editing, formatting and assembling proposals, videos, demos, presentations, and internal communications.
· Compile and distribute financial information such as budget spreadsheets and department invoices.
· Coordinate all company trademark registrations.
· Update and maintain the marketing department’s documentation and databases.
· Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks such as travel arrangements and lunch bookings.
The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter that is motivated by the opportunity to be a member of a growing team. They will also possess the following qualifications and attributes:

· Two to three years of experience in a related role.
· Post-secondary education (a degree in marketing is not essential but an advantage).
· Strong administration and organizational skills.
· Ability to organize and prioritize accountabilities in a deadline-driven environment.
· Excellent listening, verbal communication and writing skills.
· Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop.
· Entrepreneurial aptitude, positive attitude, customer-focus, and interest to learn.
· Bilingual communication skills considered a valued asset.
· Knowledge of group and/or individual health insurance/benefits is also an asset.
· A robust sense of humour is required – we are deadly serious about humour.
