Contribute your valued expertise The Ministry of Citizens’ Services performs a dynamic, corporate leadership role in government to support the development of an innovative, modern and robust technology environment; to improve accessible and responsive services and information to citizens; and to provide enabling infrastructure for ministries and the broader public sector to transform how government works on a day-to-day basis.

The Government Digital Experience (GDX) division supports ministries to run public engagements initiatives, service and content design projects, citizen facing websites and several other information technology solutions for modernizing government.

GDX often supports high-profile government initiatives, such as CleanBC, Child Care, Housing and has played a key role supporting government COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

This is a chance to work on meaningful digital products and services with a central digital design and delivery team in the Ministry of Citizen Services in the B.C.


The Online Service Solutions (OSS) team in the Government Digital Experience Division (GDX), works to build people-centred digital products.

The team supports the design and delivery of widely used products like, content management, digital forms, search and Virtual Assistance.

The multi-disciplinary OSS Design Team champions evidence-based design, accessibility and ongoing research with British Columbians to improve government’s digital products and services.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Degree or diploma in computer science or a related field; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Minimum of three years of experience performing business analysis, project charters and work plans, and web design and development.

Minimum of two years of recent experience in EACH of the following: Experience with automated testing software (e.g.

Selenium, Microsoft Test Manager).

Experience creating DevOps pipelines.



Experience providing quality assurance for enterprise-class web-based software solutions web services and APIs interacting with relational databases and JAVA based applications.

Experience leading teams, interpreting technical information, and articulating system-related information to individuals at all levels of an organization.

Experience managing professional service contracts.

Experience creating test plans and test cases.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following: Experience working in an agile development environment and using tools such as Jira to manage and report out on work.

Experience with OpenShift.
