Posting End Date: June 15, 2021 Employee Type: Regular-Full time Union/Non: This is a non-union position Enbridge’s natural gas pipelines connect North America’s most prolific natural gas supply basins to the continent’s largest demand centers-New York, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Vancouver and Seattle-and to liquefied natural gas (LNG) and Mexico export markets as well.

Apply today, we’d love to hear from you What You Will Do: Establish company standards related to design, materials and equipment.

Investigate problems and incidents to establish recommendations, solutions, and improvements.

Deliver technical information for project development, project design, and project construction during planning, design and construction of new pipelines and/or facilities to ensure they are safe, reliable and compliant.

Provide technical support and insights to business development, gas control, legal, code compliance, and other corporate groups, as needed.

Who You Are: Completion of a degree in engineering from an accredited university or college Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

Currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in one or more Canadian provinces, preferably Alberta.

Preferred 10 years of Engineering within the pipeline industry.

3 years plus proven experience with providing recommendations that establish standards / problem seek and provide general technical support, training and mentorship.

Expertise in technical support, design, materials, construction and/or operations of natural gas pipelines and/or pipeline facilities.

Proven understanding of Canadian pipeline regulatory requirements and industry codes Experience in root cause failure analysis.

Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Working Conditions: Typical office environment.

Available to work occasionally outside normal work hours to address any Specs or Standards immediate issues.

Occasional scheduled travel to Enbridge offices, operating facilities, construction sites, and supplier facilities (up to 20%) in both the US and Canada.
