If you’re ready to be part of a fun and close-knit team in a career-defining role, then we want to hear from you!Digital Communications SpecialistYour main goal as our new Digital Communications Specialist will be to deliver and communicate our brand and reliable information to all our audiences.You will support our marketing, communications and advocacy strategy to ensure relevance and value for our members, the public and other stakeholders. Using your deep understanding of digital-content and design best practices, you’ll plan and execute compelling content for our websites, online campaigns, e-newsletters, and other digital tactics. Like the very best in marketing and communications, you are equal parts creative and analytical. You aren’t afraid to come up with and share new and innovative strategies to engage our members, and you use your eye for data and metrics to execute your ideas effectively.Your biggest asset in this role is your communications expertise. You’re a skilled writer, with strong English writing skills and impeccable grammar. Whether you’re writing for our website,  e-newsletters, or other communications,  you are a writing chameleon who can work with subject matter experts to turn complex information into content that is concise, engaging and easy to understand. Outside of writing content, you’ll also support  getting our new website launched, putting standards and processes into place and, in the near future, you’ll help us explore and implement videos, podcasts, mobile apps and other digital platforms..Practically speaking, here’s some of what you’ll do:* Work with your team to plan and implement digital communications strategies and ensure they are integrated with and aligned to the ODA’s marketing, communications and advocacy strategies.* Identity opportunities, contribute ideas, and provide feedback to the team to continuously evolve and improve content delivery and standards.* Act as project manager for website upgrades and future redevelopment projects.* Create and oversee the delivery of content for ODA digital properties, including:** Consult with internal stakeholders (staff) on digital content to ensure accuracy** Create and proofread digital content for the web that adheres to ODA web policy and best practices.** Publish content via WordPress* Refine, implement, champion and train staff on our website policy, best practices, submission guidelines, and other related internal policies.* Analyze website tracking such as Google Analytics and collect data, track trends, and implement and test improvements.* Support the ODA’s journal and consumer magazine with written articles.* Work with suppliers and vendors for project execution e.g. video production. The best in this role will come equipped with:* Detail-orientation – you understand that small things have a large impact.* Time management skills – you have experience managing multiple projects at once, so you can juggle competing priorities with ease.
