Coordinator, Partnerships & Events Jays Care Foundation | Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club NATURE & SCOPE The Coordinator, Partnerships & Events is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of Jays Care’s partnerships and event plans.

Reporting to the Manager, Philanthropy the coordinator will be responsible contributing to the achievement of an annual fundraising target exceeding $10 million.

Responsibilities: Events
– Support the planning and execution of existing events including Curve Ball Gala, annual charity Golf Classic, Charity Broadcast Auction, Basebowl and more, ensuring they operate efficiently and generate maximum revenue and exposure
– Support the development and execution of event processes, including vendor sourcing, venue coordination, and development of event collateral, themes and décor
– Monitor event budgets, coordinate planning meetings, and manage guest lists
– Assist with gift in-kind solicitation
– Assist with sponsorship package development and fulfillment
– Liaise with event committees, internal departments, external stakeholders and sponsors
– Work with communications to develop marketing materials, web content, press materials, announcements etc., as required
– Organize volunteer support for events as required Partnerships
– Support relationship management with major donors and key partners across the Jays Care fold
– Research, develop and execute a prospecting and solicitation plan for new major donors and corporate funders
– Work cross functionally with Blue Jays Corporate Partnerships team on integration opportunities for Club sponsors Administration
– Support sales tracking and development of event evaluation reports/recaps
– Participate in hosting duties (game nights) and sponsorship fulfillment as required
– Respond to public inquiries about events/fundraising initiatives in an efficient and professional manner
– Assist with data entry and other administrative duties as required Research
– Support the development of research for potential fundraising events/programs
– Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of industry trends Qualifications: University or College education preferred
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office
– Knowledge of Salesforce fundraising software an asset
– Minimum 2-3 years event planning, fundraising, partnership experience from public and/or not-for profit sector
– Experience coordinating and working with volunteers
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Excellent organizational skills required
– Creativity a must
– Must have ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines
– Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Team player with an ability to support the big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks
– Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
