Coordinator, Donor Engagement

Coordinator, Donor Engagement Jays Care Foundation | Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club NATURE & SCOPE The Coordinator, Donor Engagement is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of Jays Care’s fundraising plans, including solicitation, gift acknowledgement, donor recognition, stewardship and donor engagement activities.

Reporting to the Manager, Philanthropy the coordinator will be responsible for contributing to the achievement of an annual fundraising target exceeding $10 million.

Responsibilities: Donor Engagement
– Support the prospecting and solicitation of donors by developing tailored proposals that resonate with potential funding partners and reflect Jays Care’s strategic priorities
– Support the development of a prospect pipeline through researching, identifying and qualifying potential donors
– Respond to prospect and donor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
– Contribute to data-driven decision making by tracking all activity in Salesforce
– Support the development of donor communications by working cross-functionally to gather key metrics, stories, etc
– Work with Programs Team to ensure donor deliverables are incorporated into program execution and identify new funding opportunities and areas for engagement
– Coordinate and execute recognition and engagement activities
– Brainstorm and develop new ways of recognizing sponsors on ongoing basis Administration
– Support sales tracking and development of program and event evaluation reports/recaps
– Coordinate check-in calls with key partners, including preparing meeting agendas, meeting briefs and recording meeting minutes
– Participate in hosting duties (game nights) and sponsorship fulfillment as required
– Respond to public inquiries about fundraising initiatives in an efficient and professional manner
– Assist with data entry and other administrative duties as required Research
– Support the development of research for potential fundraising initiatives
– Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of industry trends Qualifications:
– University or College education preferred
– Demonstrated achievements as a fundraiser or related experience
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office
– Knowledge of Salesforce fundraising software an asset
– Minimum 2-3 years fundraising experience from public and/or not-for profit sector
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Excellent organizational skills required
– Creativity a must
– Must have ability to multi-task and meet required deadlines
– Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Team player with an ability to support the big picture goals of the organization and contribute to day-to-day tasks
– Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
