Facilitate bi-weekly planning meetings to coordinate activities to meet production goals.

Supervise and coordinate all engineering activities including reconciliation and reporting.

In consultation with the operations team, enhance grade control and minimize dilution through design and planning, stope access and mining sequence.

Ensure effective recruitment, development, training and succession planning, is provided with current and future needs, while implementing actions for standard processes for team growth.

Provide clear work objectives, expectations and performance levels to your team members.

Lead performance by setting expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching to direct reports.

Review mine design, planned mining activities and KPI to improve value to the operation.

Ensure designs and applications align with engineering standards, safety, environmental regulations and company policies and procedures.

Cultivate and maintain a high-performance culture by holding yourself and team members accountable.

Support activities between multi engineering fields and other departments.

Qualifications and Experience: Registered Professional Engineering license in Ontario (P.Eng).

BSc in Mine Engineering 7 to 10 years of experience in an underground mine engineering and Supervisory role.

Strong background in long-hole and bulk mining methods is crucial.

Experience with ground control, mine ventilation systems and underground water management, and paste fill would be considered an asset.

Strong digital literacy is essential, including the ability to use and create excel spreadsheets and work with mining software (A-Mine, Deswik, VentSim etc) Strong leadership, resourcefulness and ability to prioritize engineering work and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, provide sound engineering problem-solving techniques to resolve potential issues.

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication between technical and non-technical groups.

Relate to both operations and engineering teams, fostering a team focused approach.

Ability to coach EIT, mentor and develop technical staff career progression.

Ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with mine operating staff to complete mine plans, budgets, and construction projects.

The individual should be energetic, self motivated, and have strong organizational skills.

Position is based on a weekly 4 day on /3 day off rotation.
