Help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Canadian Professional Services Group (PSG) based in Toronto, ON and reporting to the National PSG Broking Leader. What You’ll Do: Representing the PSG in servicing clients and supporting account teams from coast to coast Continually developing expertise in professional liability through networking, technical training and client discussions Developing professional liability tools and materials to support clients and account teams Analyzing client-specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements Preparing and presenting marketing proposals for renewals and new business Negotiating with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage Following up with insurer to confirm that the terms of agreed-upon contract are met; Approving documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals Establishing contacts and nurture relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best outcomes for Aon clients Collaborating with key Account Teams to build Professional Liability programs and solutions Collaborating with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for both renewal and prospective business Providing guidance, training and mentorship to assist in the development of Associate Brokers within the department Participating in client meetings where applicable Receiving general instructions and follow defined procedure, handle daily work within established guidelines Building productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendations Taking ownership of compliance documentation and policy review checklists Demonstrating and sharing the importance of best practices What you Bring Five (5) years of commercial insurance experience is preferred; less experience applicants will also be considered Experience in the construction industry, preferably in the professional liability space, is a definite asset but not required Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Customer-focused with proven relationship building skills; Proven track record of working both collaboratively as a key member of a team and also working independently with minimum supervision, as the situation requires Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task; Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure; Strong digital literacy and proficient with the Microsoft Office package. Education: Post-Secondary degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Business or Finance; a combination of education and equivalent years of industry experience will also be considered RIBO license strongly preferred; will also consider unlicensed candidates motivated to successfully complete the licensing process within 6 months Dedication to ongoing learning and professional development, including bot not limimted to the pursuit of insurance courses and certifications such as Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) and Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) We offer you A driven total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
