Machine Operator

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted October 1, 2018.

Machine Operator

DCL International Inc. is a well-established and fast-growing business, and we are looking for a Machine Operator! DCL designs, manufactures and sells advanced engineering technologies worldwide to reduce emissions and to produce clean energy. DCL supplies to world-leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, and aftermarket retrofit.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of operating production machinery including: winding lines, loading/unloading uncoilers with material, rollers and automatic welding units
  • Read and interpret shop manufacturing drawings
  • Load and unload the tooling and set up for various types of work with varying quantities
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and quality standards
  • Ensure the goods are manufactured and processed on time
  • Work overtime in case of any delays
  • Work on light machinery

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and organize deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Customer-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and on time delivery
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 40hrs a week
  • Shift: 2:30PM – 11:00pm
  • Salary: TBD, per hour plus shift premium
  • Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Concord, Ontario
