Position: VP of Marketing Location: Toronto Status: Full Time Estimated Duration: Full-time Starts: End of July-Aug earliest Rate: Up to $250k Job Description: Our Client: A source for ceramic and stone products
– a leader supplier to some of the largest distributors throughout the United States and Canada.

The Role: The VP of Marketing will significantly enhance the corporate brand positioning through design-oriented external market awareness, ultimately improving the brand experience.

In this leadership position, you will be responsible for:
– Redefining the corporate marketing message through digital, social and print strategies
– Disseminating a premium experience through the organization’s corporate marketing message, vision and strategy, to generate strong consumer desire
– Establishing brand differentiation Your accomplishments should directly impact the company’s market share, maximize revenues and establishing a stronger brand differentiation.

Responsibilities: Strategy Planning
– Lead the design and implementation of integrated marketing strategies (digital, social, print, etc.)
– Oversee brand message across all Marketing/Sales materials
– Conduct market research on trends to enhance and effectively disrupt traditional corporate communications strategies
– Convert analytical data into valuable insights to help drive decision-making and strategic organizational growth
– Assess and refine customer journey mapping to drive strategic priorities and promotional activities
– Develop programs and promotions designed to drive consumer demand and incremental revenue
– Create a revolutionary customer experience through unique marketing and CRM plans
– Provide regular analysis, measurement, and optimization on campaign effectiveness and ROI
– Oversee all marketing content development, social channel strategies and digital product marketing designed to drive awareness, traffic, engagement, and transactions
– Establish metrics around brand growth and effectiveness of brand initiatives to maximize the long-term alignment with the company’s corporate goals and evolving brand architecture
– Accountable for the creation of and management of marketing budgets and expenditures
– Stay current on newly evolving and disruptive consumer, industry, digital and social media trends Leadership
– Manage the marketing team, setting team goals and metrics
– Coach, develop and seek opportunities to increase the capabilities of team
– Identify needs to hire resources required to support the department’s objectives
– Control budgets and resources allocation Relationship Management
– Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s online presence, editorial design and publications
– Collaborate with internal Creative Services Team to deliver the most effective solutions
– Monitor progress on inbound leads, pipeline/opportunities, conversion funnel
– Work in collaboration with Business Development Managers and internal departments to help build strategic plans and marketing plans around product branding
– Work with the Sales Marketing Director to build and enhance relationships with existing clients
– Become the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients
– Develop and maintain relationships with PR and Advertising agencies in the GTA
– Manage media lists to distribute and promote press releases or news briefs, as required
– Act as a brand ambassador internally, able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others
– Attend industry events, customer meetings and in-person vendor briefings, as required Qualifications:
– Minimum 15 years of progressive marketing experience with a minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership capacity, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency based experience with exposure to a variety of industries (furniture, fixtures, décor, cars, luxury retail), clients and company sizes
– Proven success in digital, social and content marketing
– Extensive brand management experience and account-based marketing strategies and tactics to drive targeted pipeline generation
– Deep knowledge in B2B communications
– A proven “out-of-the-box” thinker; a connoisseur of what it truly means to have an exceptional brand-experience
– Proven success in building and growing a brand as a marketing leader in a multi-faceted environment
– Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
– Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
– Highly knowledgeable and experienced with current digital marketing techniques and best practices, including web analytics (e.g.

Google Analytics, Google AdWords, WebTrends etc.)
– Can embrace, articulate and sell the conceptual relationships between innovation, design, beauty, and opulence against quality, affordability, and speed to market
