Job Summary:

The Tour Ambassador will be responsible for actively participating in any booked retailer demonstrations, training sessions and special events across Canada. Specifically, the coordinator is responsible for conveying all materials and equipment to the areas required using the company Sprinter Cargo Van. The ideal candidate should have culinary experience as well as the ability to interact with top-level executives, clients, customers, and employees in a professional, courteous manner and have the flexibility to work various hours and shifts as required. The Tour Ambassador will work independently as well as partner with Territory Sales Managers and Client Staff to execute this initiative.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the coordination of events within leading home improvement stores, managing logistics and correspondence Purchase ingredients at local grocery stores for grilling (i.e. Burger buns, ground meat, steak, ribs, condiments etc.) Properly store food for events in appropriate coolers/refrigerators Set-up and tear-down activation i.e. tents, tables, grills for an outdoor grilling/cooking experience (comfortable lifting at least 40lbs.) Work collaboratively with the regional TSM to enthusiastically conduct fun grilling/cooking sessions with participants where available Promote brand and Grill Academy in a professional and enthusiastic manner Serve as the point of contact and manager of program and all program-related elements and assets while on the road Ensure each event is operated with the safety of staff and attendees in mind Utilize knowledge, skills, and resources gained in the required training Comfortable with Emcee responsibilities by speaking in front of a large crowd Dress professionally and in accordance with company’s dress code Load and unload organization’s merchandise; transport products and materials securely to areas where they are needed; Guarantee that products are protected and secured Complete all required administrative requirements with conveyance of merchandise and hours, booking of all accommodations etc. Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle Manage and oversee the maintenance schedule for the vehicle Report issues, concerns, pressing matters to manager out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report to the employer or technician Report any instance of mishap or accident to the Sales Team Keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance Pay tolls and other fundamental vehicle demands Submit accurate event feedback, complete post-event reports in a timely manner

Academic/Educational Requirements:

  • Business or Marketing degree an asset

Experience as a trainer, teacher, and/or demonstrator is an asset

Required Skills/Experience:

Food Safety Certified Valid G License – Must have clean driving record + submit experience letter from current automobile insurance company Must possess 1-2 years of touring experience Must possess 1-2 years of culinary (grilling and/or cooking) experience Passion for cooking, entertaining trends, and travel Excellent public speaking and presentation skills Must possess flexibility to travel extensively Ability to communicate and work effectively with leaders, retailers, and general public Ability to properly and safely conduct set-up and tear down responsibilities Must be able to work for extended periods of time on your feet, working in various weather conditions Exercises excellent judgment and makes appropriate decisions Highly organized Thrives working in an independent environment, able to prioritize tasks, with a strong commitment to succeed Proactive, assertive, and confident Personable and outgoing Motivated and enthusiastic MS (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.)
