Do you have over three years of experience as a Law Clerk or Paralegal with a focus on Lending?

To support their Business Law Lending Department in Hamilton, they are currently seeking a full-time Law Clerk/Paralegal to join the team.

This is a great opportunity to work for a firm that is known worldwide The tasks: Create agreements, contracts, correspondence and any other requested documents in accordance with instructions and legislations; Follow directions from your supervisor regarding file status, steps and instructions required to meet prescribed deadlines; Liaise with clients to obtain and provide information, upon request from the professional; Manage title transactions, corporate searches, etc.; Maintain documents using the company database and software; Meet with government authorities and opposing counsel; Perform follow-ups when required or requested; Carry out any other tasks assigned to you in order to assist the team.

Requirements: 3 years of experience as a Law Clerk or Paralegal with a focus on Lending; Graduate of a recognized Legal Secretarial or Law Clerk Program; Proficient with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; Strong understanding and experience using Teraview; Knowledge of current legislation and government regulations as related to the sector; Knowledge of legal principles and terminology and the ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy; Produce a high quality and quantity of work product, often under tight timelines.

The ideal candidate will: Be a strategic planner with exceptional organizational skills; Demonstrate autonomy and motivation in their daily work; Thrive under pressure and changing priorities; Posses good judgement and sound decision-making skills; Be able to work overtime hours, if required.
