Reporting to the Director Finance, the Jr. Purchaser is responsible for the sourcing and procurement processes for our client. This position offers an excellent hourly rate, and a challenging working environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the sourcing, procurement and contracting of all materials, equipment and services forWork with IT and other departments to facilitate and ensure that best procurement practices are utilized throughout the organization.Administer the tendering process for internal and external customers. This includes RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.Work with Director Finance in the preparation, issuance and analysis of all RFX processes.Identification and qualification of all suppliers and contracts.Review and renewal of all supplier contracts.Manage the contract process between organization and all third parties.Follow up on all purchases and maintain excellent working relationships with all suppliers.Work with the Director Finance to identify, implement and present new sourcing/procurementstrategies, processes and policies.In conjunction with the Director Finance, act as custodian of the Cobblestone DocumentManagement system.Maintain and load all new contracts/documents to the Cobblestone system.Work to utilize Cobblestone to its full potential. Recommend new opportunities and potentialenhancements for the use of the software.Maintain excellent knowledge of the Broader Public Sector (BPS) guidelines and ensure thatpolicies, procedures and processes are compliant.Consistently seek cost reduction opportunities and process improvements within Procurement andContract Administration.

Qualifications:

University degree and/or Community College Diploma with an emphasis in Business Administration and/or Procurement is preferred.A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a Procurement and/or Contract Administration role.Experience in the health care field or other not-for-profit environments is an asset.Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment;Fully proficient in the use of MS Office and computerized accounting software;Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; and ability to multi-task and work accurately under tight deadlines
