Senior Technical Systems Analyst – Production Support


This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted October 28, 2018.

What is the opportunity?

We are looking to add a Senior Technical Systems Analyst into the Enterprise Technology Support Team.  The team provides 24×7 support for a number of applications in the Enterprise Technology space which includes Client Relationship Management, Customer Preference and Choice, Enterprise Client Registry and a number of other applications built on mainframe and distributed platforms  This role will include incident and problem management and will be required to act on production alerts and resolve incidents in a timely manner in collaboration with Interfacing Applications, Service Providers and Vendors.  The successful candidate will liaise with Incident Managers and Senior Leaders to communicate status on incidents, take ownership and responsibility for solving complex issues and work with development teams to coordinate problem fixes out to production.

This role will also be required to provide timely and accurate error resolution as per agreed upon SLAs, analyze system impacts, co-ordinate maintenance activities, maintain patching levels, technology currency and also the deployment of change records into the pre-production and production environment.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in production support for applications based on Java, Spring, Springboot, Restful Services, SOAP, Cloud Deployment, DevOps (MUST HAVE)
  • Experience working in a production support capacity
  • Experience with DevOps
  • Experience in Incident and Problem Management
  • Experience working with internal applications and vendor – based applications in a 24 x 7 type environment

Nice To Have

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of leading software using a cloud-native stack such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Cloud Foundry.
  • Working experience in one or more of: algorithm design and optimization; large-scale systems and / or parallel or distributed systems; web API; micro-service architecture; Kafka; Microservices; RDBMS and/or modern scale-out databases.
