Senior Salesforce Developer

The Role

We are searching for a talented Senior Salesforce Developer to join a growing development team within our quickly growing and transforming organization. As a Salesforce developer on this team, you’ll get the chance to build multiple enterprise-level, custom Salesforce applications and hold a role as a key contributor to enabling our organizational transformation.

The Accountabilities:

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions– including functional requirements, coding, support and agile team principles and leadership. This opportunity requires deep application development skills, writing and collaboration, and strong communication skills. The focus will be on creating and improving Salesforce products that enable our customers and enterprise users to be successful on the platform. This position will require working in a small team of individuals focused on core development tasks and collaborating with product owners, identified in Centre of Excellence (COE) model.

Progressively learn the Medcan operations and the healthcare field more broadly, while being vocal in challenging the status quo. Design and implement systems in Salesforce to support automation of our CRM, SaaS operations, IT, and customer support processes. Participate in storyboard and solution design sessions – recommend alternative approaches and best practices, define technical impact, and provide sizing estimates. Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support processes. Build integration components to transition data from local systems. Create and manage custom objects, fields, and formulas – participate in the integration process with other enterprise systems. Manage Salesforce integration with existing systems and third-party providers.

The Requirements:

  • SFDC Platform Developer I certification
  • 3-5 years of experience as a SF Developer with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, including the use of data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector).
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in Salesforce development, configuration and management capabilities
  • Knowledge of Web Services, REST, XML and outbound messaging.
  • Development experience with Apex, Visualforce, webservices, Lightning components,
  • Azure/.Net/Javascript competencies
  • Experience with ETL tools (at least one of: Dell Boomi, Mulesoft, Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator, MS SSIS), data migration and data cleansing
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set expectations on tasks that you and your team will be responsible for
  • Highly organized, deadline-driven individual with a “can do” attitude
  • Has ability to support internal resources that require Salesforce education and support

Preferred:

  • SFDC Platform Developer II certification
  • Salesforce Health Cloud Experience
  • CPQ Knowledge
  • Experience in a technology company or start-up environment a plus
  • Experience interfacing with business and technical teams

This position reports to the Director, Development. This is full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday.
