Senior Portfolio Analyst, Reporting


This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted November 12, 2018.

What is the opportunity?

This is a senior analyst role. The Senior Portfolio Analyst, Reporting will support the implementation of the T&O Portfolio Management Office Reporting Strategy. You will own the creation of optimum solutions for various reporting and dashboard-ing needs across T&O. You will analyze data and use data analytics tools and techniques to uncover insights to help executives with decision making; help execute processes to maintain the team’s delivery mandates. The role includes developing optimized reporting processes and analytical tools, and evolving the PMO services to deliver meaningful content and insights to our stakeholders (to enable intelligent decision making) with continuous improvement and by simplifying things that are complicated


What will you do?

  • Develop and deliver reports and analysis (insights) for T&O executives
  • Help identify optimal solutions options that support the reporting strategy
  • Help drive / pilot new technologies and develop efficient technical solutions for processes and outputs (e.g. automated solutions, mobile delivery)
  • Implement optimized solutions for new reporting requirements. This includes receiving data and reporting needs from clients and act as project coordinator and business analyst to develop an efficient and optimized solution, while ensuring requirements, best practices, PMO Reporting Strategy, governance framework guidelines are met.
  • Ensure timeliness and quality of data and reports.
  • Manage day to day operations of Tableau site including user administration, workbook review & promotion, issue resolution, and client relationship management


What do you need to succeed?


  • 6+ years of data analysis and experience implementing report automation solutions
  • Self-directed and independent. Must be able to drive results instinctively – does not need to be managed day to day to achieve results
  • Ability to think creatively and be efficiency and solutions oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Good communication skills (business and technical teams and appropriate to the audience)
  • 3+ years hands on SQL experience; 1+ year Tableau or other BI tool



  • 1+ year experience as a Data Scientist
  • Python, R
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage several key projects at the same time
