Senior Manager, IS Security

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted October 8, 2017.

The incumbent is responsible for managing and maintaining the Banks security vulnerability management program and disaster recovery program.¿ Develop internal capability in conducting vulnerability assessment on the Bank¿s systems. ¿ Analyse, recommend and implement monitoring and compliance procedures based on external and internal information security risk and vulnerability assessment. ¿ Maintain security and operational efficiency metrics in vulnerability management through comprehensive reporting, including on-the-fly data mining, historical reporting, self-auditing and tracking capabilities. ¿ Liaise and coordinate with the Bank¿s various IT and Business teams to achieve and complete the vulnerability remediation objective. ¿ Develop and implement a Disaster Recovery (DR) framework to support business strategy, IT risk management and regulatory requirements. ¿ Support development of DR standard, DR process, Governance and associated controls. ¿ Coordinate with the Bank¿s various IT and partners and manage the annual DR integrated DR exercise. ¿ Coordinate and manage external penetration testing with external vendors. Analyze and action findings where required.and Disaster Recovery experience.) and 6 to 10 years of experience, including 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role. o or  College Diploma in a related field and 9 to 12 years of experience, including 2 to 3 years experience in a management role.  Certifications in CISSP, CISA, SANS Institute GIAC (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GPEN etc.), ABCP would be a real asset.  Experience in leadership role security vulnerability management that include remediation of vulnerabilities.  Demonstrated expert skills in understanding and assessing impacts from security vulnerabilities on different computing systems.  Thorough understanding and expert knowledge in networking, operating systems and intrusion detection/prevention and firewall technologies.  Maintain current with new developments in the security industry including alerts, bugs, vulnerabilities and viruses; evaluate and report on their potential business impacts.  Regularly develop and produce status reports of vulnerability status constructed from discovered and reported issues.  Responsible for providing timely reporting on security compliance and make recommendations for increased security process efficiency and effectiveness.  Experience in planning and conducting integrated DR exercise and working within the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) framework.  Experience in chairing and facilitating DR Steering meeting with key IT leaders/stakeholders and service providers.  Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.  Bilingual (English/French) verbal and written communication skills are an asset.We welcome and encourage applications from individuals from all groups, including aboriginal, women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, creed, family status, national origin, age and gender.
