What We Do:

Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms. For more information about Fidelity Clearing Canada, please visit https://clearingcanada.fidelity.com/

What You Will Do:

The Registered Products and Mutual Funds Administrator will have the opportunity to learn about not only our company, but also the niche market of clearing, custodial and trade execution services. You will begin working in either the Mutual Funds, or Registered Products team:

  • The Mutual Funds team is responsible for trading review, corrections and processing directly on Fundserv, Fundserv settlements processing, PAC/SWP/Sweep setup and maintenance, Internal Transfers, Cash and Reinvested dividend processing, Non-Financial updates through Fundserv and Trailer Fee/Commissions processing.

  • The Registered Products team is responsible for settlements with our Trustee, RSP and TFSA contributions/deregistrations, RESP administration, RRIF/LIF payment setup/recurring events, RRSP to RRIF rollovers, and Pension plan unlocking/administration.

What You Need:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience

  • You have between 1 – 2 years’ of experience in the financial services industry.

  • You are familiar with different account types such as Non-Registered Accounts (Cash, Margin, Joint etc.) as well as Registered Accounts (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs etc).

  • Excellent MS Excel skills

The following are assets:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the brokerage industry

  • Completion of, or enrolment in, a financial services industry program (e.g. CSC)

  • Bilingual (verbal and written) in French and English

  • You work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Given the current circumstances, employee will be working from home, 100% of time. As working conditions return to normal, they will shift to a hybrid working arrangement.
