QA lead

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted January 11, 2022.

Position Description:

CGI provides business process services, hosting, operations, maintenance and support for one of our large banking client on a number of critical line of business. As part of the services we are providing for the customer and expanding out business, the candidate will work closely with the client and the delivery leads, and will be accountable for a deliveries of the task that will be assigned which includes business requirement capturing and document creation, solution requirement document creation and also lead the JAD/POD sessions.

Delivery will be located in the Toronto area and candidate is also expected to work at the same location along with the client team. Travel is not anticipated though may be periodically required.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Candidate will support the program lead, delivery leads, and project managers with capturing the business requirements from the business and converting that to the business requirement document (BRD). The candidate is also expected to create the solution requirements documents, use cases, creating the flows for system, process and other flows based on the client need.

Candidate is also expected to lead the JAD/POD sessions on a need basis and also expected communicate with both business and technology teams during the project execution.

Candidate will also be responsible for reviewing the work and also ensure that all the work is being delivered as per the timelines defined and agreed with the client.

Candidate will help the client in various requirements with business analyst capacity to build the BRD, SRD, use cases and to lead any JAD/POS session.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively understand requirements from business and work with the internal team to create the business requirements document.
• Create the solutions requirements document as assigned
• Efficiently create the use cases for each project as per the request from client/project
• Create the flows for systems, process or any other areas needed which is demanded by the project requirement/business
• Strong experience in communicating with both business and technology team to ensure that the requirements are effectively being communicated to the technology team to meet the delivery
• Experience in both agile and waterfall methodology
• Experience in leading the JAD/POS sessions
• Help the testing team to ensure the requirements are properly captured
• Liaise and confer with internal and external teams when designing and implementing and integrating new technologies.
• Validate existing test cases and consolidate them from the QA standpoint.
• Assist project team in the troubleshooting of testing issues.
• Anticipates the impact of a change or project across multiple systems
• Raise defects/issues and follow up and resolve outstanding defects/issues.
• Report on test progress.
• Work with various departments in the company to ensure all product integration requirements are satisfied.
• Work allocation for both offshore and onshore
• Co-ordinate the delivery with offshore, nearshore and onshore
• Experience in creating the management dashboards and status reports

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of experience as a QA lead
• Strong experience Salesforce will be an advantage
• Strong in business requirement document
• Very strong in creating the solution requirements documents
• Extensive experience in creating the use cases
• Experience in creating the flows – systems, process and others
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Experience in working on Onsite/Offshore model
• Expert in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Proven experience working on large projects
• Ability to work well on a team, quality oriented and able to meet deadlines, flexible and be able to adapt to change
• Understanding the client environment, stakeholder management; ability to identify opportunities to help client in improving the efficiency
• Organizational change management and structured problem solving skills an asset
• Experience in migrating the application to cloud would be an asset
