Paid Social Media Manager

Job Description

If you are a social media expert, you love creating campaigns (and seeing how your audiences engage with those campaigns) and you like to put on your creative hat – this is an exciting opportunity to bring effective social media advertising campaigns to life.

From developing the business case to enter new channels to creating targeted campaigns launching new products, you will be helping to amplify the Fidelity brand and grow our social media presence.

  • Enjoy and have experience creating targeted digital campaigns and seeing how those campaigns enfold;

  • Working with internal and agency partners, as well as autonomously;

  • Like building out an initiative or program from scratch – from initial business plan to seeking approvals to executing on the plan;

  • Enjoy writing headlines and ‘snappy’ content;

  • Stay organized and like ‘calendarizing’ your life;

  • Know when to take the initiative and when to ask for clarification or help;

  • Have an eye for great graphics that tell a story;

  • Work well under pressure while maintaining high standards;

What You Will Do:

  • Develop the strategy and roadmap to expand Fidelity’s social presence whether it is through new or existing channels and targeted media campaigns.

  • Manage paid social campaigns and be responsible for targeting, reporting on metrics and applying learnings to future campaigns

  • Provide expertise in content development and online engagement tactics (regular copywriting required). Ensure that all social content is accurate, compelling, on-brand, and posted according to social calendars.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated experience executing on paid social media campaigns with an agency or client-side marketer

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of digital media and social media experience. Financial services experience an asset;

  • University degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field

  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, Brandwatch and other social media tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics) would be an asset

Given the current circumstances, employee will be working from home, 100% of time. As working conditions return to normal, they will shift to a hybrid working arrangement.
