Position Description:

CGI’s Utilities Practice is experiencing significant growth requiring us to continue to build our leadership Team. We have an immediate need for a Director, with extensive past experience in the utilities industry, to help build and close on sales funnel opportunities with our Ontario based clients. You will be responsible for utilities accounts, and be responsible to build new client relationships, overseeing all aspects of CGI’s business with those clients, including business development and project delivery.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

This Account Director level function would be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and monitoring the activities of multiple opportunities and RFP responses. You would provide consulting services to clients in a specific domain of expertise e.g. smart metering, GIS, OMS, and / or CIS or other utilities functions.

This is a client facing role and the candidate is expected to be within commuting distance of Markham, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be a team player, and possess a balance of sales and project delivery expertise, with a track record of winning and delivering to utility clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• You come with an extensive rolodex and strong relationships with key decision makers in Utilities companies in Ontario. You have a verifiable track record of closing net new consulting services business. You have also followed a strict and disciplined sales process in achieving your results.
• A proven track record of identifying, closing and delivering on opportunities
Provide industry / subject matter expertise and written / verbal content to the sales strategy / targets and proposals.
• Present proposed solutions to prospective and existing clients
• Identify all the internal and external resources, whether human or technical, required to submit proposals successfully

• Advise on suitable strategies and objectives for achieving the sales goals
• Coordinate cross-proposal activities
• Lead, manage and evaluate a team of members delivering on your client accounts
• Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
• Apply change, risk and resource management
• Assume responsibility for the proposal’s people and vendors
• Prepare reports for Senior Directors / Vice Presidents
• Understand contracts regarding the proposed solution / program of work
