Business Project Manager

Note: Given the current circumstances, employee will be working from home, 100% of time. As working conditions return to normal, they will be expected to be onsite.

Role Overview:

As a Business Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading business process change management initiatives and providing business process management expertise in support of Fidelity Canada strategic goals.

You will lead change management projects, provide comprehensive support to business led activities on Fidelity Canada projects, and enhance organization’s capabilities to address operational inefficiencies and find opportunities for improvement.

What You Will Do:You should consider this opportunity if you are passionate about continuous improvement, have demonstrated interest in business process management and possess strong organizational skills. In this role, your responsibilities will focus on several key areas:

Business Project Management:

  • Lead business change management projects to successful completion, supporting business stakeholders in achieving desired improvement in client experience, innovation, operational efficiency, and/or regulatory compliance.

Business Process Activities on Projects:

  • Through assignments on cross-functional projects’ teams, support Project Managers in coordination and tracking of business activities document changes in business processes, post-implementation operating procedures, and target operating models.
  • Support business SMEs with their project tasks, including preparation and execution of UAT plans, pre-production business readiness and post-implementation business activities
  • Provide support to L&D team in creation and delivery of training material as they relate to changed business processes

Business Process Management:

  • Establish structured approach to documenting, assessing and improving Fidelity Canada Business Processes in alignment with organization’s enterprise goals
  • Collaborate with business and technology leads to identify hierarchy of core processes in their areas, identify key areas for improvements and plan for execution of recommended changes
  • Lead continuous improvements of Business Process Management practices, including adoption of tools best suited to support BPM and business partners’ needs
  • Establish set of critical metrics to measure progress of BPM adoption in Fidelity Canada and success of applied BPM controls
  • Develop collaborative relationships with global Fidelity groups; with BPM focus

Support Fidelity Canada Automation efforts:

  • Support Digitalization and Automation initiatives, by providing Business Process Management expertise that can support automation and operational efficiency efforts.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure alignment with IT tools and processes, and adoption of sophisticated technologies

What We Are Looking For:

  • College degree (3-year program). Post-secondary education in the areas of IT, Business or related field are preferred
  • Business Process Analysis/Management education and/or related work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in the roles related to Business Project Management, Business Process Management, or Business Architecture
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the financial industry
  • BPM certifications (in place or in progress) would be considered an asset
