Business Analyst

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 6, 2018.

RSA is looking for a strong Business Analyst with experience in property and casualty personal insurance and pricing to help us on our strategic journey. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders across RSA’s Personal Insurance teams (Pricing, Underwriting, and Operations) as well as IT to deliver a new pricing platform.

What you will achieve in this role

– Facilitate and lead business requirements gathering/design sessions with multiple participants of varying and competing interests
– Manage business participants to keep them on track and draw out the necessary info to develop business requirements
– Manage timelines and own/be accountable for the business requirements work stream
– Prepare clear and complete business requirement documents, including best practices, methodology, templates, etc.
– Liaise between business users (actuaries, underwriters, operations) and IT (architects, system analysts, QA)
– Review quality assurance (QA) test cases, assist with identification and resolution of issues during QA

What you bring to this role

– Business analyst experience, ideally in personal lines property & casualty and experience with pricing projects but will consider applicants with either P&C or pricing experience
– A strong understanding of the auto insurance industry
– Ability to manage multiple requirement work streams in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent facilitation skills
– Excellent communication and problem solving skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel
