As the Bilingual Pre-Employment Analyst with BMO you will be a key contributor to the protection of BMO people, assets and information by providing business intelligence analytic services as it relates to criminal risk. Identifies, gathers, evaluates and analyzes intelligence data. Conducts background, due diligence and intelligence reviews to improve business risk awareness and reduce losses. Produces analytical products and reports to establish links, sequences, gaps, trends and patterns. Makes recommendations based on analytic interpretations, inferences, judgements, predictions and conclusions. Produces analytical and intelligence products and reports for Management and business/groups.

  • Improves operational methods and workflows by identifying, recommending and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares intelligence and business reports to support background checks.
  • Gathers, catalogues and updates intelligence as required.
  • Undertakes analysis of extensive data sets and open source information.
  • Identifies links in intelligence information gathered to support investigations.
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of intelligence solutions.
  • Extrapolates from questionable/incomplete data, validates analytical conclusions, and integrates contributions from other sources to prepare complete intelligence products.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders, which may include law enforcement officials.
  • Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service while adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Recommends and implements process improvement initiatives.
  • Focus may be on a business/group.
  • Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works mostly independently.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Typically between 1-2 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using the internet and databases for information gathering.
  • Advanced experience with analytical and database software.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of research and collection methods and analytical applications.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills – In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills – In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills – In-depth.
  • Influence skills – In-depth.
  • French/English – Verbal & written communication skills – In-depth.
