Human Resource Analytics Manager

Our client is a leading attractions management company in Canada.

Our client is located downtown Toronto (TTC accessible).

Start Date: As soon as possible PURPOSE OF ROLE Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Total Rewards & Analytics Manager provides assistance and direction on matters related to compensation, benefits and analytics for all divisions and affiliates.

The incumbent’s key responsibilities will include planning, designing, implementing and administering a comprehensive total rewards strategy that enables the Company to attract, engage and retain top talent across the Country.

The elements of total rewards that this role will lead include Compensation, Benefits Management, Performance Management, Recognition, and Talent Development.

This role will be responsible for the data and analytical work required to support the maintenance/continuous improvement of existing reward offerings and introduction of any new programs.

The Total Rewards & Analytics Manager has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure all total rewards programs are administered in a financially prudent, legally compliant and equitable manner.

Additionally, this role will lead the gathering and analysis of adhoc analytical requirements to support various other HR initiatives across all divisions.

KEY FUNCTIONS COMPENSATION Leads the corporate compensation mandate/vision for all divisions, including the development of policies/procedures, as required.

Leads in creating, reviewing and analyzing annual salary reviews and incentive payouts for non
– union positions within all divisions, respective of corporate policy, employee eligibility, personal performance ratings and Hay grade positioning.

Develops, implements, maintains and administers a job evaluation system and related policies/procedures for maintaining job descriptions, job evaluations, salary banding and benchmarking, as necessary.

Acts as the pay equity champion and subject matter expert.

Completes the annual pay equity analysis for the companies’ divisions Provides salary recommendations for all new hires and internal promotions/transfers Leads development of regular reports and departmental templates as required for Board related material, pay equity analysis, internal/external equity analysis and other adhoc reports, as required.

Participates in external industry related surveys; gathers, analyzes, interprets, advises, and champions data resulting from completed surveys, advising the organization on change management strategies.

Collaborates with HR colleagues to understand issues and provide counsel regarding compensation concerns.

Educates, provides decision tools and communication scripts that enable effective decision making and supports compensation conversations.

Consults and liaises with external subject matter experts as appropriate.

Provides presentations and reports to the Vice President, Human Resources, as required.

BENEFIT MANAGEMENT Researches, develops, recommends and implements benefit programs that are market competitive and legally compliant.

Partners with external benefit brokers/vendors to facilitate positive working relationships.

Manages annual renewal processes including collection/submission of all required data and negotiates third-party benefit premiums and costs.

Administers all benefit plans for employees Completes all required benefit changes including: new hire enrollment forms, terminations and other employment updates impacting benefit entitlements, and submits to appropriate contact in all applicable benefit software systems.

Ensures all employee benefit plans are applied in a consistent and equitable manner.

Serves as contact and resource for current and former employees, fielding questions and resolving issues pertaining to all benefit programs.

Resources to deal with personal employee situations regarding medical, benefit or sensitive issues.

Manages and administers all paid and unpaid leaves of absence requests.

Communicates all required benefit information (ex.

premiums, taxable benefits) to Payroll.

Manages and monitors use of Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).

Audits, tracks and processes benefit invoices to ensure accuracy of billing and enable timely approvals/payments to vendors; establishes templates to enable auditing and processing efficiencies.

Establishes and maintains benefit documentation, including plan descriptions, administration forms, internal guidelines/processes/procedures; ensures documentation remains current and accessible.

Facilitates benefit information sessions and leads benefit communication/education efforts to increase awareness and program engagement.

DISABILITY CLAIMS MANAGEMENT Coordinates with life insurance carrier and ill/disabled workers regarding any claim submission, in a timely and efficient manner.

Manages all disability claims and liaises with claims adjudicators, medical professionals and insurance carriers to ensure Early and Safe Return to work programs are initiated and followed.

Communicates with third party provider and Payroll to ensure a smooth, accurate, and timely transition of claims management.

Researches and creates suitable modified work duties/ accommodations, if necessary.

Reviews and maintains related reports to monitor sick days, costs, etc.

Ensures legislative requirements are in place and being met by the Company.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT REVIEW (PMR) Managers, administers and maintains the online performance management system for all divisions; including creating, reviewing, updating and activating new PMR forms each year, as well as training administrators at other divisions.

Supports the collection and calculation of departmental Corporate Score performance metrics.

Serves as a contact and subject matter expert for employees and managers, fielding questions pertaining to the annual performance management process and completion of the PMR form.

Leads the development of guidelines, and tools to support managers throughout the performance management process.

Drafts regular communication relating to the PMR process and annual calendar for distribution to all eligible employees, obtains translation where required.

Reviews and maintains related PMR reports to ensure PMR process is moving forward, following up with employees where required; conducting analysis of PMR score reports at year-end and coordinates with the annual compensation cycle.

Prepares calibration reports required at year-end for Executive review.

Conducts PMR training for employees and managers, as required.

RECOGNITION Researches, develops, recommends and administers formal and informal recognition programs that acknowledge or give special attention to employee actions, efforts, behavior, milestones or performance within the REC division.

Manages and oversees the Service Award program, ensuring it is administered in a consistent and valuable manner.

Leads in the development, maintenance and administration of all other employee gift (ex.

wedding, baby) and perk (ex.

corporate discount) programs.

Continues to evolve programs to remain attractive and competitive.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT Researches, develops, recommends and administers opportunities and tools for employees to advance their skills and competencies in both their short and long-term careers.

Manages and monitors the educational assistance program, ensuring it is administered in a consistent and equitable manner.

Explores, develops and recommends other internal development opportunities and programs such as online training, coaching/mentoring, job shadowing, etc.

HR STATISTICS AND ANALYTICS Tracks HR statistics on a regular basis through monthly HR scorecard; prepares HR statistics information required for quarterly Board reports.

Leads HR data collection, analysis and annual submission of Balanced Scorecard, for all divisions.

Leads HR data collection and analysis required for annual Corporate Plan.

Designs and develops useful metrics, predictive models, dashboards and data reporting to support a variety of HR and business initiatives.

Uses a variety of established quantitative and qualitative methods (including surveys, focus groups, database mining, external benchmarking, etc.) to gather, analyze, and interpret HR data and derive useful information for key business initiatives, working across and synchronizing multiple data sources.

KEY REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources required.

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in Human Resources required, with significant experience in compensation and benefits on a national level.

Certified Human Resources Leader designation (CHRL) preferred.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred.

Knowledge of national Human Resources legislation and principles is required.

This includes, but is not limited to, ESA, PIPEDA, WSIB, OHSA, AODA, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code and Regulations.

Proficiency with an HRIS is preferred (i.e.

ADP Workforce Now).

Bilingualism (English/French) preferred.
