Director, ESG Policy Impact Measurement

To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Vice-President, Environmental, Social, and Governance, the Director, ESG Policy & Impact Measurement has oversight of the end to end policy strategy and supporting business model across all businesses.

You’ll be a key member of the ESG team, focused on providing leadership and guidance on policy management and impact measurement, in alignment to the ESG strategy.

You’ll also be responsible for developing and ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of the business model to manage the implementation of policies and business rules, while maintaining strong relationships with key partner groups.

How You’ll Succeed Policies
– Lead the development and implementation of a framework of policies, practices and procedures to ensure alignment with CIBC strategy, business and legislative requirements.

– Advance and implement an impact measurement strategy for monitoring of metrics, tracking and input into appropriate disclosure.

Industry Knowledge
– Maintain awareness of global ESG trends and tools, metrics and KPIs, and share updates and implications with broader ESG team and relevant internal partners.

– Lead responses on ESG information requests and concerns raised by stakeholders (e.g.

Investor requests, shareholder proposals, media inquiries).

Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in ESG related, Policy and/or Impact Measurement for a minimum of seven years.

You have knowledge of related regulatory environment to assess and make recommendations regarding changes to risk and compliance practices as it relates to the portfolio.

You have strong communications skills necessary to gain commitment and support to desired objectives and well-developed writing skills including precise articulation of ideas and opinions in order to prepare detailed strategic papers, business cases and proposals.

You have a degree/diploma in Business, Financial or related field.

You have strong relationship skills.

Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.
