Employment Qualifications:

Graduated of a recognized Post Secondary program in Speech-Language Pathology Current active registration as a speech-language pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario Vulnerable Sector Screening(VSS) within 12 months of hire, with a current Criminal Records Check or receipt stating VSS has been applied for Valid drivers’ license, insurance and access to a reliable vehicle


Responsible for establishing, monitoring and delivering speech-language services to clients in a community setting. Screens or assesses the client’s speech, language, communication and swallowing, and the factors that affect them In collaboration with the client, family members/caregivers, using a client-centred approach Establishes, implements, evaluates and adjusts treatment goals and service plan in collaboration with the client and/or family, caregivers, school personnel, and Case Manager Prescribes necessary equipment to enhance communication/swallowing Promotes client safety through risk assessments and act as a resource for family and care providers/caregivers Liaises with Case Managers at referring agencies regarding client care

  • Maintains records and statistics to a standard appropriate for medico-legal purposes, to professional standards, and as directed.
  • Other responsibilities:
    • Attends and participates in staff meetings and serves on committees as required
    • Efficiently maintains and manages assigned caseload
    • Keeps up to date about and abides by all company standards, policies and procedures
    • Maintains professional skills and knowledge
