Registered Nurse

Advantage Personnel

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted April 30, 2021.

Advantage Personnel currently looking for an RN on a temporary basis.

You will be providing professional nursing care and assessment in the delivery of care to assigned patients, ensuring adherence to company policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices.

Job Type: Casual, part time, temporary.

Location: Kingston Shift/Hours: Shifts vary depending on the requirements of the facilities.

We cover all shifts (Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends) Pay rate: $33.40-$43.45 Job Description
• Provides for nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, and resident plan of care within the scope of practice.

• Utilizes sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care on the assigned home area(s).

• Conducts ongoing communication with families to inform them of changes in resident health status.

• Provides direction and guidance to team members and acts as a resource person in areas of specialization, and provides follow-up and support for educational programs offered.

• Identifies priorities, target dates and strategies and interventions in order to contribute to the individualized care plan that achieves the best possible outcomes for each resident.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.

• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

• Knowledge of medical treatment procedures, facilities and equipment.

• Knowledge of supportive care principles and techniques for patients.

• Ability to educate patients and/or families as to the nature of disease and to provide instruction on proper care and treatment.

• Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.

• Ability to perform nursing assessments and patient triage.

• Patient assessment and referral skills.

• Ability to obtain Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

• Diploma in Nursing
• Minimum one (1) year of related work experience
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Background check (vulnerable sector) Work Conditions: Work settings can range from retirement homes, nursing homes, long term care facilities and hospitals.
