JOB POSTING 879696 Position: Faculty Advancement Coordinator, Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre Department: Medical Oncology and Hematology Reports to: Manager, Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology Scale/Grade: N0:07 Salary: $33.78
– $42.23 per hour Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon
– Fri Status: Temporary full-time, Approx 2 years POSITION: The FACULTY ADVANCEMENT COORDINATOR is an integral member of the Management office, part of the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology (DMOH), whose mandate is to foster the growth and to raise awareness of, and the profile of, members of the Division at University Health Network (UHN).

Part of this involves the identifying internal and external award opportunities for qualified Division members in the areas of clinical, teaching and/or research excellence, administration/leadership; developing and submitting award applications to internal and external agencies on behalf of junior, med and senior physicians; coordinating mentorship activities under the direction of Senior Physician Faculty Mentor; and assisting with development and coordination of Faculty promotion in accordance with the requirements of the University of Toronto.

The Faculty Advancement Coordinator will participate in Divisional meetings and be a key contributor to the creating and development of the Divisional material (visual/written) describing key annual accomplishments for internal and external stakeholders and developing core resources for Faculty regarding mentorship, leadership and clinical excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of a masters degree in biomedical sciences or recognized equivalent At minimum 2 years practical and related experience At least two (2) years of experience working within an academic health care settings At least two (2) years of experience in research methodologies is required.

At least two (2) years of experience extracting, analyzing and interpreting data from bibliometric databases (e.g., Web of Science, Scopus) is required.

At least one (1) year experience with medium to large scale department/divisional communications At least one (2) year of project management experience Knowledge of the lifecycle of publishing academic research articles is required, from submission phases to retrieval of indexed records is required.
