The Role:

Medcan is currently recruiting for a Director, Mental Health Programs. This director will be expected to be a thought partner with the VP Live Well in the mental health sector. We are committed to shaping and meeting the market demand, and are looking for someone in this role who is equally passionate about committing to significant growth across for our mental health business and this role will help identify opportunities for strategic development in the industry by overseeing the continued integration, competitive business analysis and strategic growth in the mental health sector.

The Goal:

Support the VP with thought leadership and strategic growth across the Mental Health portfolio.

The Accountabilities:

  • Maintain a strategic point of view on where mental health is headed, and provide an entrepreneurial perspective on how Medcan should respond to/be on the leading edge of changing industry trends
  • Identify partnership opportunities and establish the “right” partnerships for Medcan
  • Perform assessments/ability to see patients on an as needed basis
  • Lead/collaborate with the others in the organization to identify opportunities for strategic growth across the mental health portfolio, build financial cases for business development opportunities and create business plans to support potential launches with go to market strategy and execution
  • Act as a thought partner to enterprise leadership for the development and prioritization of long-term strategies, requiring the ability to influence and change the mindset of, or gain acceptance of others, while leading the mental health portfolio in making effective and timely decisions to eliminate inefficiencies
  • Create senior level presentations and effectively present and communicate business case recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, and
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and at least 5 years business experience within the mental health/wellness industry
  • Practicing professionals within the mental health field also desired
  • Big thinker who can think locally and nationally, especially when it comes to partnership development
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience required, including experience mentoring productive and effective, multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven track record as a strong, collaborative leader with the ability to inspire others, build strong relationships and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Advanced proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint, including developing others’ expertise with these tools

This is full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday.
