Enterprise Architect
– Billing, Payments & Corporate Services Solutions will work on conceptual architecture, high-level design strategy and technical design for IT solutions, based on functional and non-functional requirements in the scope of Allstate Canada Billing & Payment and Corporate Services product suite, which includes Investment, Finance, and Corporate Compliance Technologies
– to support tactical and strategic needs of Allstate Canada.

The architect is expected to provide Enterprise Architecture guidance & support for the Billing & Payments Modernization Program which includes working with peer Solutions Architects to conduct technology evaluation, participate in selection and configuration of the components of the new Billing, Payments, Investment and Finance systems, determine effective integration and data acquisition patterns, evolve reporting and analytical architecture and provide architectural guidance in creating related specifications and formulating testing and deployment approach of the designed technology solutions.

The architect also supports, resolves, and documents issues that arise in the architecture.

The candidate should have good understanding of P&C insurance data model.

We work a 37.5 hour work week Acciountabilities: As an Enterprise Architect
– Billing, Payments & Corporate Services: Providing architectural support of Allstate Canada Corporate Services technology initiatives Providing architectural expertise and guidance for technology solutions for Billing and Payments Modernization Program and Corporate Services solutions The above assumes examination of existing data flows and current state architecture, working in collaboration with CyberSecurity , Data and Analytics Enablement, Integrations Enablement, Infrastructure and IT product teams Developing a profound knowledge of the application and technology portfolio of the Billing, Payments and Corporate Services Product Suites , and the business operations they support Communicating and collaborating with Allstate US Enterprise Architecture on alignment with Enterprise TSA in delivering Billing, Payments and Corporate Services technology solutions Solution architecture and solution roadmap ownership for multiple technology initiatives within Corporate Services Product Suite.

This includes current and target architecture documentation, and road-mapping the journey from CSA to TSA, outlining milestone transition architectures.

The initiatives include: Investment Accounting Management solutions Anti-terrorist solutions Future of Finance – Modernization of finance technologies Finance Operational Management Reports Finance Service Management Investment DataMart Corporate governance, risk and compliance initiatives Qualifications: 4 years technical experience in Architecture 2 years experience in SDLC (requirements, design, build, test, deploy) or similar Experience in an Architect role delivering Insurance Billing, Payments, Finance and Investment Accounting Solutions for a large global organization Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent Multiple vendor expert level certifications are considered assets Prior P&C insurance (underwriting, policy admin, claims, rating technology) experience is an asset Prior experience with large scale transformations and innovative technical breakthroughs Experience working in an Agile environment – SAFe experience is an asset Experience with developing and maturing Enterprise Must have great communication skills both written and verbal Confident and outgoing in approach, good team player Experience delivering solution architecture, evaluating vendor technology and defining roadmaps for Billing, Payments and Corporate Services solutions The above assumes proven architectural experience with various Billing, Payments and Corporate Services systems’components and technologies across multiple vendors Familiarity with leading vendor software product suites in Property & Casualty Good understanding of P&C Insurance technology trends & evolutions Strong functional understanding of Insurance Billing and Payments domain and specific business processes, clear understanding of best practices Experience with on-premises and SaaS solutions for Billing, Payments and Corporate Services Proven ability to clearly communicate architectural direction to the product delivery team, business partners, and during interactions with other teams Experience with Insurance reporting and analytics Experience with multi-vendor integration projects Knowledge of Canadian and international accounting and financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP) Good knowledge and understanding of corporate compliance requirements Experience with Sales Measurement and Compensation solutions is an asset Allstate Canada Group has policies and practices that provide workplace accommodations.
