This role contributes to the development and execution of the company global technology strategy and is critical to delivering high performing technology solutions that enable their business operations.  Who is the employer? The Ian Martin Group (https://ianmartin.com/) has partnered with our client, a Canadian company that owns and operates mines in 5 countries that produce base metals such as copper, zinc, and nickel.The Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure& Operations is a key member of the IT leadership team and manages the corporate office IT Support team across the globe.Could that be you? What you’ll be doing As the new Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations you will be reporting to the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure and Cyber Security, plan and implement enterprise IT projects and oversees day-to-day IT operational delivery. This includes hardware and software lifecycle management, system network support, identity and access management, telecom and VOIP, on-premises compute, cloud services, LAN/WAN connectivity, end-user computing (desktop, laptop, tablet), end-user provisioning and mobility. Practically speaking you will: * Lead the implementation of new technology and maintenance of existing technology.* Maintain and monitors daily operations of infrastructure and client technology teams, analyzing work, developing standards, setting deadlines and following up on execution.* Manage the corporate office IT Support positions.* Collaborates with various departments on projects and utilizes formal tracking methodologies to manage, communicate and monitor the implementation of projects.* Assist the Director with forecasting, budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, invoice approvals and initiating corrective actions.* Collaborate with vendors in purchasing equipment and services, supports issues and problem resolution.* Support applications and systems by meeting or exceeding standards and service levels while minimizing operational risk.* Identify root causes and implements targeted and controlled remediation plans.* Research industry standards, best practices and new innovations in technology and makes recommendations.* Effectively handle incident management for outages.* Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems, options, and recommendations for prompt resolution.* Monitor system life cycles, ensures specifications and functionality support business* objectives and architecture decisions.* Disaster recovery planning and execution (define, review, test).  The Details This is a full-time permanent position based in Toronto, Ontario with some traveling involved ( not more than 2-4 trips per year). In addition to a competitive annual base salary, you will enjoy comprehensive group benefits, performance-based bonus plan, 4 weeks/year vacation, long term incentives including stock option and share unit grants and opportunities for professional development. Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.* Appropriate technical certifications are a plus (MCSE, PMP, ITIL, COBIT etc.).* 10+ years of professional experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations.* 5 years of managing, leading and developing a team, including strategy, budgeting and staffing.* 5 years of experience with Microsoft and SAP infrastructure and solutions.* 5 years of experience with Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies.* 3 years of experience applying and using the principles of ITIL.* Strong analytical skills to recognize and assess issues and develop solutions.* Exceptional leadership and communication skills that inspire and motivate IT resources in a globally matrixed environment.* Ability to build consensus, making decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.* Strong third-party management skills, working closely with sourcing and vendor managers.* Expertise in budget planning and financial management.* Knowledgeable in regulatory or statutory technology compliance requirements.* Mining Industry experience is a bonus (or other asset intensive industries).* Bilingualism in Spanish or Portuguese is a bonus.  Your Application We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
