Target Openings 1 Job Description Summary Defines and executes on the architectural guidance, technological recommendations and transition strategies.

This role does not manage others.

Primary Job Duties Responsibilities Technology Strategy Participates in and may lead the development of technology blueprints, definition of target states, solution recommendations and roadmaps to solve business and technical needs that adhere to architectural strategies and consider the overall cost of ownership and investment for the future.

Solution Planning Participates in and may lead solution planning (annual planning, ideation, origination) to translate business strategy into technical vision, recommends solutions and supports ROM sizing.

Includes reference architectures, quality attributes, patterns, models, technical standards, solution outline, trade off analysis infrastructure design.

Documenting and Communicating Architectures Leads development of architecture deliverables and communicates to business and IT to help others see the value of the architecture and how to use it successfully.

Architecture Conformance and Governance Executes and may lead technology governance processes and architecture design reviews (CARB, EAC) to ensure architectural adherence and enterprise solution acceptance.

Technology Research Performs research, test and learn (POC) and may lead development of new or foundational components or utilities to drive transformation and innovation.

Technology Adoption Participate and my lead effort to adopt new technologies, practices, communicates new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices to raise the overall technical competency.

Technology Product evaluation and assessment Participates in and may lead the technical evaluation of new and existing products (e.g.

version upgrades) ensuring alignment to business needs, technology governance, security and procurement processes.

Infrastructure Design Participates in and may lead the definition and specification for environments and infrastructures to support LOB needs, considering cost, capacity and scalability.

Technology planning Participates in and may lead the technology and functional health assessment and lifecycle disposition to ensure sustainability, modernization and technical currency of applications and technology products.

Performance and stability Defines stability and performance criteria for solutions and participates in design and performance analysis at the applications and technology domain level Technology problem resolution and Production Support Participates and in efforts to remediate high prioritycritical application problems.

Technology expertise domains Provide architectural strategy and subject matter expertise in multiple of the following Open Data, DaaS , MaaS Data streaming and real-time data processing NoSql or NewSql databases (MongoDB, or similar) RDBMS platforms (Oracle, MS SqlServer ) Open Source RDBMS ( MariaDB, mySql , PostgreSQL) Cloud data analytical environments (Amazon S3 or others) including big data concepts Industry standard data formats (CSIO, Acord) ETL tools (Ab Initio, Talend, or similar) BIA tools (Qlik, MicroStrategy, or similar) Data preparation tools Data governance practices including metadata management, master data management, data profiling, data quality, and data cataloguing Data design for microservices architecture Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.

4 years experience in enterprise, application, technology andor information architecture required.

Education, Work Experience, Knowledge 5 years experience in enterprise, application, technology andor information architecture preferred.

Job Specific Technical Skills Competencies Technical Knowledge Has a solid working knowledge of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with in-depth knowledge and experience working with complex data projects involving Open Data, Data-as-a-Service, and Model-as-a-Service.

W orks with data at scale in an agile manner identifying, composing, publishing, or consuming models.

Has experience with traditional data intensive applications including data migrations, data integrations, and data warehouse construction.

Strong experience with building normalized, de-normalized, and multidimensional data models.

Recognizes opportunities to build reusable data products and promote the use of data assets.

Holistic view of data with an end-to-end perspective from point of entry to all downstream consumers.

Develops solutions to meet business needs that reflect a clear understanding of the objectives, practices and procedures of the corporation, department and business unit.

Experience with eliciting data requirements from business, finance, and technology stakeholders and converting high level requirements into designs.
