To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com Job Description What You’ll Be Doing As a UX Designer, you will work closely with your team in high-impact projects, partnering with other Lines of Businesses across the bank and prototyping experiences for diverse audiences.

You are a skilled storyteller, strategic thinker and a master of your craft.

You drive design objectives, providing high level concepts and detailed designs for our various partners with a focus on the needs of our clients and our strategic initiatives.

You’re passionate about clean design, usability and performance
– understanding the value of consistency, design inclusivity and research.

You put our clients at the core of everything you do by grounding your product design in human centered design methodologies & data to ensure they solve real user needs and are easy to use and scalable.

How You’ll Succeed Design from end-to-end
– You’ll create storyboards, sketches, wireframes, designs and prototypes alongside a high-performing design & strategy team and the business leaders to explore, test and refine potential concepts.

You don’t understand form without function and you like taking part on every step of the design process, from research to visual prototypes.

Use a data-informed approach
– Your outputs will be based on evidence.

You will collect data, analytics, user research, and reports from various internal partners to help support UX Strategy experience roadmap initiatives and design rationale.

Work collaboratively
– As a UX Designer you will be working in cross functional teams that include Developers and Product Managers.

You will solve customer needs through collaborative human-centered design practices and present your work with senior stakeholders and leadership.

You will facilitate workshops, white-boarding sessions and stakeholder interviews, synthesizing its outputs.

Build relationships
– You will be expected to bring your experience and leadership to your tasks with minimal oversight from leadership.

You will manage CIBC relationships outside of the Digital Innovation team by championing design collaboration with our design teams across CIBC.

Mentor
– You will also provide mentoring and design critique to junior and co-op designers to help them (and you) grow by providing the right balance of challenge and support.

You have education in Digital Design, UX Design, Design Thinking, Human Computer Interaction or equivalent industry experience.

You can demonstrate experience or knowledge in: Mastery Adobe XD, prototyping tools and user-centered design principles.

A solid understanding of UX research methods, inclusive design and WCAG accessibility guidelines, responsive design.

A design portfolio is required to apply for this position.

3 years’ work experience minimum, or equivalent.
